Duck soup is basically a supplement that you can give a ferret to boost its weight, improve its coat and its over all health. Soup is good for a sick ferret that cannot eat solid food as it keeps their weight up, keeps food in their belly and keeps their strength up.
This is for 3 or more ferrets. If less cut the ingredients in half.
1 cup of good quality kibble - ground up 1/2 cup of heavy whipping cream 2 egg yolks + shells (ground up) 1 large squirt of extra virgin olive oil 2 jars of stage two Gerber Turkey and gravy Water to thin
Grind up kibble to powder first. Empty into bowl. Crack eggs, separate yolks from whites, grind up shells and add to same bowl. Mix cream, egg yolks and ferretone in separate bowl. Toss in blender along with baby food. Blend well. Pour in kibble and shell. Blend.
Add water, stir to get the stuff at the bottom, blend again.
Keep adding until you have a consistancy like a milkshake. Push through a mesh strainer to get the bits of shell and kibble that didnt grind.
When refrigerated, mix becomes solid. You can serve as is and have a custard, or thin it out with a little hot water and have soup.
Freeze for longer shelf life.
